February 23, 2005 - Kathryn 8 months

Here is our little cutie pie. She is getting so big I can hardly believ it. We just bought her a ride - on walker. She stands up with it and can sit on it. It also has toys in the front and is musical. It also has a horn to beep. Beep! Beep! Daddy was like a kid in the candy store when it came to buying something for kathryn. kathryn fell in love with a little piano that looks likea xylophone on the top. She was playing with it all through the store and all night.

Kathryn also says "nana" now. Let's add it to her list of words. I think nana makes 5 because kathryn says "hungy" for hungry too.

February 20, 2006 - Kathryn's Standing

Oh Wow!!! Our little girl is standing! Kathryn is so excited to see her new surroundings. Unfortunately last ngiht she didn't know how to get back down. She sort of plopped back onto the floor. Mommy and Daddy are excited to see their little one stand. Soon she'll be chasing the other kids.

February 17, 2006 - Kathryn's First Tooth

Kathryn has been cranky for days and this morning we found out why. She has her first tooth coming in. She has been doing better with sleeping now that it has started making it's way through. I thought she might not ever get teeth. I know I worry too much. Now when she gets her other teeth in I 'll know the signs.

I'll put up pictures when her tooth is finally in.

Febuary 14, 2006 - Valentine's Day

Mommy dressed Kathryn in red today. Of Course ! She was so cute with a white bow in her hair. Grandma Leary sent Kathryn some Valentine's Day gifts but they arrived a day late. She really loved the little purse. Although she can't use it, she sure did chew on it. What is it with red and pink with you? Mommy's pretty little princess.

Super Bowl Sunday - Febuary 5, 2006

Today Kathryn watched her first Super Bowl. She seems to enjoy watching football. I think she enjoyed the Yellow "Terrible Towel" even more. Kathryn stared at grandma everytime she would yell at the tv but grandma was excited to see the Steelers win the game 21-10. Poor Seahawks they never stood a chance.

Go Steelers !!!!!

Seven Months Old - January 23, 2006

Kathryn just loves her picture being taken.

Lots to say!!! let's see where to begin. Well Kathryn is doing well with her food. She now eats biter biscuits, bread, and Cheerio type baby snacks.

Kathryn can crawl faster now. She has been crawling since the end of her sixth month, like the last week. That's why I didn't post it till now. Kathryn also pushes herself onto her tippy toes while in the crawling position. She bounces while holding her and in her little excersaucer.

Kathryn also says baba, mama and mmmmm when she eats food. She just started trying to pull heself up in her crib 2/12/06. She can stand if you hold her hands and stand in her crib if you put her hands on the rail.

Good Job Kathryn !!!!

New Niece / Cousin - January 22, 2006

New Years - January 1, 2006

Mommy and Daddy went to the casino last night and brought Kathryn home some souvenirs. Before eating the next morning mommy put Kathryn's New Years bib on her, along with 2 lais and a hat. Kathryn had so much fun! She giggled while mommy put them on her and then she tried to eat the lais.

Christmas - December 25, 2005

Kathryn loved Christmas. She opened her presents almost by herself. She the tried to eat the wrapping paper and bows. She wore a cute little outfit that made her look like a present all wrapped up. Mommy's present.

We watched the Yule log on Christmas Eve because a certain baby wouldn't go to sleep so Santa could come. Mommy and daddy ended up taking "little missy" for a ride to get her to sleep. I heard daddy was the same when he was little. It took a ride to get him to sleep because he was too excited. For Christmas Kathryn's family and Santa Claus gave her clothes, toys, and a highchair.

Our 6 month mark. Kathryn started to crawl by 6 1/2 months. At first she was pulling herself along by her hands and then she started to bend her knees and headed off for what she wanted.Kathryn has been such a cutie pie. She is starting to vocalize more and making noises like raspberries, lip smacks, and growls. It's so funny to see her bite something and make a growilng noise like she's attacking it.Kathryn has the sitting thing down pat now and she is reaching to grab everything.

Kathryn & Santa - December 22, 2005

Kathryn seemed to be a little confused when we took her to see Santa at Maplewood Mall. They rung the bell to try and get her attention but it took mommy callign her name to get her to look at the camera. LOL.

Well the picture turned out great ! Kathryn was so cute with her little suede boots on and her snowflake bodysuit and jeans. How sweet! It was such a lovely Santa. Everyone had their kids pictures taken with him.

Thanksgiving - November 24, 2005

No turkey for Kathryn this year. Poor baby. But I let her have a little bit of my Jello and then she tried to take the whole plate. She has always been like that, all or none. I wanted her to have potatoes but we already mixed in the addatives.

Next year we'll be ready for turkey and all of the trimmings.

Five Months Old - November 23, 2005

She loved to be pushed around in it.

Kathryn started to try and sit up this month. I kept telling her " you can do it sweety". She would froggy sit so she wouldn't fall over. I sat her in her boppy and also in a Huggies box to play. Mommy and daddy tried palying ball with Kathryn but it didn't go over too well.

This month we also started adding vegetables and fruit to Kathryn's diet. Her first food was sweet potatoes. She loved them. She also wanted the spoon to either feed herself or make a mess. My guess is make a mess. Ha Ha!

Kathryn was a Bunny Rabbit for Halloween. We didn't keep her in her costume too long because she was fussing. Kathryn went to the doctors for her 4 month checkup today and had her shots again. Mommy was brave and didn't cry this time around.

Kathryn's Baptism - October 30, 2005

Kathryn was adorable ! There were 5 other children getting baptised today. Kathryn was the only baby to cry.

When we looked for Kathryn's gown it was unbelievable how hard it was to find a size 3-6 month. Either the size was right and I hated the style, or I loved the style and it was the wrong size. @--)---

We are growing up ! Kathryn had her first food at 4 1/2 months. Rice cereal, Yummy! Yummy! She took to it right away. We soon began giving her different cereals and adding fruit for taste.

As you can see from the picture Kathryn spent alot of time with her hands in her mouth.

Three Months - September 23, 2005

Rolling !!! Finally she's doing something other than eating, sleeping, and potty. Kathryn is so cute to watch because she starts to roll and gets stuck on her arm. She then gets upset or mad because she can't go any further. At 3 1/2 months of age she will learn to roll fully and is thrilled to see herself move.

Kathryn in Boston Commons (2 1/2 months)

Well we finally made it to Boston to visit mommy's family. The plane ride there was great and Kathryn slept most of the time. However, she was awake most of the way back.

We got to visit the Boston Commons, Harvard Yard ( where mommy and daddy got engaged) and most importantly Kathryn got to see all of her cousins ( 4 of them).
