Christmas photos 11-19-09

Okay so I decided to work on our Christmas card early. I took pictures of the girls. Like 40 of them just to get a few good ones. Here are some funny ones that didn't make the cut. I added some captions for entertainment purposes. Enjoy!

Kathryn:"Time to practice my singing."

Erin: "Oh, not again."

Kathryn: "Now for the finale!"
Erin: " Now I can leave."

Erin come here! Stop wiggling ! Erin is laughing so hard at Kathryn not being able to hold her. Kathryn found it funny too. They were both laughing then.

Well folks that explain it all. It was quite challenging. I am glad that I attempted it now because if they didn't turn out okay then I would have had to do them over when Erin wasn't crying or get them professionally done. So I am happy with the outcome. Otherwise, we might have had a silly holiday card this year. Hope you all enjoyed the photos.

Letters here I come. 10-31-09

Kathryn practiced her letters on her big write on, wipe off board. We had to get pictures. All of it was written by Kathryn with no help at all.

Halloween 10-30-09

Halloween was fun ! Kathryn was very excited and when she woke up she wanted to go trick or treating already. We carved our pumpkins the day before. Kathryn is wearing her kitty shirt that says" wickedly cute". Kathryn kept telling me to get Erin's costume on all day long. Finally the time came to get ready and I couldn't get Kathryn to sit still long enough to get her costume on. First. we had to search for the costume. Kathryn likes to wear it as dress up clothes. We took Erin out with us but we ended up returning home because Erin's fingers were very cold and red. Her little nose was red too. We left her with nana and papa. Kathryn wanted to eat a few pieces of candy before we headed back out. Then we were ready. Kathryn talked to almost every house we went to. She told everyoen that she was a white kitty last year and now she is a black one. She told one persona boutt he scareyu monster that jumped out at her last year. She told one guy that she loved him. And she told a few people to have a happy scarey halloween night. Oh and a few people to just have a happy halloween. She loves to talk and I think she would have done that and stayed out longer if it wasn't so cold and if she wasn't so interested in eating her candy right away. When we got home I had to try and get her costume off and chase her to get her to bed. Like I said, it was a fun night and very very interesting too.

She who never sleeps. I went in to wake her up and found her like this. I just had to get pictures. Afterwards she told me she was on her thrown and feel asleep as she was sitting there ruling her kingdom.

Snow in October 2009

Yep you are seeing the photo right. The leaves are still on the tree and in fall colors.

The kids had so much fun. kathryn made snow angels and climbed the hill. We also had a snowball fight and included Erin. That is why she is smiling in one picture. She is actually laughing after Kathryn threw a snowball at her.

Little Erin is trying to stand already. She will stand holding on and is starting to cruise but she will stand up in the middle of her playpen and then fall down. So cute seeing her stand with her legs in a half split position. I catch her sitting on the little peoples school bus and then she lifts off from there. Won't be long I think ! I know she just adores Katrhyn and is already following her around by crawling. Kathryn isn't too happy with this and she really wants Erin to start walking. Uh-Oh!

Kathryn's learning to write

For some reason I can't add any phtots right now. I just wanted to show you all a photo of Kathryn with writing on her hand. She made 2 jellyfish ( Spongebob style) a number 4 and a 7( it's backward but it's the first I've ever seen her write letters). We have those write on wipe of things at home where she can trace letters and number and then wipe them off but I have a hard time getting her to use them. Maybe things will start to change. Kathryn is in preschool now (4and5s class) and they are workign on writing letters. They also have us participating in a read at home program so the kids pick out a book every week to bring home and then return for another. Keeping busy with learning. We just picked up a bunch of leve 1 and pre level 1 reading books for Kathryn. Also she loves Starfall.com. I love seeing her so involved.

Kathryn's first day of school 9-14-09

Our big girl ! Kathryn was very excited to go to her first day of school. Notice the extra hair clip in her hair in front. She has cut her bang 2 weeks before schoool. It is growing back quickly. We are also growing out the rest of her hair.

Kathryn had fun her first day of school and was very eager to speak with her teacher, Mrs Kay. Kathryn was very friendly to all of the kids and was enjoying meeting new friends. We only got through circle time before we had to leave. Mommy's friend went into labor and we had to make a trip to the hospital to watch Katrhyn's friends. So we had a little playdate in the hospital room with playdoh, coloring and watching cartoons. We had fun!
